Thinking About New Countertops? Here’s What to Expect During Installation.
If you’re considering a kitchen remodel but feel a little nervous about what comes next, you’re in the right place. Whether you’re redoing everything from the floors to the cabinets or simply giving your kitchen a refresh with a beautiful new countertop, the process is easier than you might expect when you come in prepared.
Step 1: Lock In the Final Measurements and Plans
This first step is all about setting you and your kitchen up for success. Once you’ve chosen your stone and edge style, our installation team schedules an in-home visit to take careful measurements and create a custom template made just for your space. Our team pays attention to the little things: corners, walls, appliances, and all of the preferences you’ll have shared with us.
Here’s some of our recent work:
We’ll also make sure that your cabinets are level, secure, and ready to support your new countertops. If you’re still deciding on the materials, this is the moment to think about what works best for your lifestyle. And if you need some help deciding, we’re right there with you for expert advice!
Furthermore, and this is important, we’ll need your help to clear the kitchen in preparation for installation day. That means appliances, decor, and kitchen supplies should be moved away from the kitchen area.
Step 2: Installation
Installation day is where things start to feel exciting…your vision is about to come to life! Our crew will arrive with the fabricated slabs and dry fit each piece to ensure everything lines up as intended. It’s a bit like trying on a tailored outfit before it’s been hemmed. We want to be sure the fit is just right.
Once the fit is confirmed, our crew will precisely place the countertops and level them. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, and this part of the process is where we really shine. Every seam, joint, and cut is made to fit perfectly for a flawless finish.
Finally, the cutouts for your sinks, cooktops, and large kitchen appliances will either be completed before or during installation. Our goal is to move your home from “work zone” back to “the heart of your home” as quickly and safely as possible.
Step 3: Clean Up and Add Finishing Touches
The last step is where everything comes together. If you’ve opted for a beautiful natural stone, like granite, marble, or quartzite, our team carefully seals the countertop to protect against stains and make daily living and cleanup easier for you and your family. We polish every edge, corner, and seam for a refined finish. At this stage, we’ll also caulk around sinks, backsplashes, and walls to ensure a durable, complete final product. Before our team leaves, we carefully tidy up any remaining dust, leftover materials, and packaging, leaving you with a clean slate that’s ready for you to live in again!
